"A wandering minstrel, I; a thing of shreds and patches, of ballads, songs, and snatches and dreamy lullabyes...." Occupationally speaking, I am a legal assistant. Aspirationally speaking, I am something quite different.

I grew up in Virginia and moved to North Carolina in January 2004. Over the past seven years, I have worked as an elementary school teacher, a cook in a college, secretary for a prison ministry, and now in a law firm. Life is interesting.

I love many things. Books, stories, adventure, autumn, good food, beautiful places, the German language, computers, graphic design, cures for vertigo, and way up at the top, music and words. I never can quite decide which has the largest piece of me -- music or words. It's a good thing they belong together.
