I'm pretty laid back. I moved to Knoxville in February for work and I don't know many people other than a few at church. I have a strong bond with my family and friends in the Atlanta area so I travel back there fairly frequently. Laura S. at church told me about Live Kite so I thought I'd give it a shot. I'm looking for friends both those I know and those I haven't met yet.

I like many different styles of music from blues and jazz to rock, punk, rockabilly to classical. I don't care for alot of techno or hardcore music that's mostly comprised of sonic dissonance and screaming. I like pop from past up to the 80s and probably a few guilty pleasures since then but not a fan of the new boy band era nor "emo" bands like Fall Out Boy and Death Cab for Cutie some of Panic at the Disco's stuff has a New Orleans' jazz sound that I like. I like hip hop and some rap though I don't like songs that over use explitives or denegrate women. I'm not a big fan of country though there are songs here and there that I do like and I like a good bit of classic country like the story songs like the Battle of New Orleans, etc. Also, I love Johnny Cash. I like to go see local acts, some bands I've seen regularly in Atlanta are Helios, G'Vegas, Red Tree (G'Vegas and Red Tree have since broke up), etc. I also went to a few of the Sundowns in the City after I moved to Knoxville. I haven't gone to as much live music in Knoxville as I'm not as familar with the scene. I would like to see Robinella perform. I need to get back into seeing live shows more frequently.
too numerous to name but a few are Labyrinth, Godfather I & II, original Star Wars series, etc. I like a wide rance of movies from comedies and dramas to documentaries and "strange" movies like those directed by David Lynch. Least favorite type is horror though I do love a good crime drama like Se7en even though it was gory.
I don't have cable so live I watch LOST, My Name is Earl, and The Office, on dvd slowly catching up on Heroes, Dexter, Deadwood, the Wire, Battlestar Galatica (new), the 4400, and Sopranos. re-watching Battlestar Galatica (70s version), Buck Rogers, and Robot Chicken.
Bible, Blue Like Jazz, Harry Potter series, C.S. Lewis writings though there are many I haven't read yet. I started Mere Christianity awhile back need to get back into reading it, over the summer I was in a book group that read The Lost Virtue of Happiness about spiritual disciplines. Also before they broke up in the summer my small group and I were going through a book about David by Chuck Swindoll.
