Embedding video in comments and blogs

Thu, August 2nd, 2007 @ 10:46AM

Livekite has added support for adding youtube and google video to comments and blog. Here's a simple tutorial showing you how to add it: YouTube 1. Grab the URL of the youtube video you want to embed. This would be the full address of the youtube video that appears in the address bar of your web browser. For example: http://youtube.com/watch?v=XXXXXXXX Obviously, the X's will be a unique YouTube ID. You can select the text in your address bar and hit [Control + C on PC, Command + C on MAC] to copy the text. Then hit [Control + V on PC, Command + C on MAC] to paste the text into the LiveKite field you want to embed the video into. 2. Wrap the URL text in [youtube][/youtube] tags. For example: [youtube]http://youtube.com/watch?v=XXXXXXXX[/youtube] 3. Submit the form. That's it! Google Video 1. Grab the URL of the google video you want to embed. This would be the full address of the google video that appears in the address bar of your web browser. For example: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-XXXXXXXXXXXX Obviously, the X's will be a unique Google Video ID. You can select the text in your address bar and hit [Control + C on PC, Command + C on MAC] to copy the text. Then hit [Control + V on PC, Command + V on MAC] to paste the text into the LiveKite field you want to embed the video into. 2. Wrap the URL text in [gvideo][/gvideo] tags. For example: [gvideo]http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-XXXXXXXXXXXX[/gvideo] 3. Submit the form. That's it!
