My name is David, and I live in Johnson City, Tennessee. I'm the RUF campus minister at East Tennessee State University. Last summer, I married Laura, and we're really thankful for each other! I'm 30 years old, and I love to be moved by music. I love to talk. I love to preach the Gospel. I love great smells too. Some of my favorite smells are: drywall mud, lavender, honeysuckle, cedar, Banana Republic M, new plastic shower curtains, and a juicy steak. A few years ago I noticed that Blue Cheese dressing tastes like Christmas trees smell. That is one of my favorite discoveries. When I was little, Dad would read Scratch-N-Sniff books to me, and I think he's the one who helped me have an appreciation for the gifts God gives to the nose. Recently I've been shaving my head bald. Like with a Mach 3 shaving razor. It feels great. One of our neighbors is kind of scary, so it doesn't hurt to look tough with a bald head and a gotee. My favorite place to hang out in Johnson City is Starbucks. I love to smoke a cigar and talk to strangers. Recently I've been reading John Owen on the Person of Christ as God and Man. It's great stuff, but it takes me about 5 hours to read 30 pages. Owen wrote in the 1600's. Basically, to sum up, I'm a sinner saved by Jesus who loves to talk to people...and be married...and smell great smells that remind me of my childhood.

Preaching the Gospel, talking to people, smoking cigars, reading, smoking a pipe, watching movies, I want to learn to fly fish, occasionally skateboarding, I'd like to paint, making things out of wood, projects on the house, playing guitar, I used to do martial arts, tennis, and shooting (sometimes).
