I hate Veggie Tales

For those who have children, it is challenging enough to teach them about the ways of God without Veggie Tales polluting the arena.
Last night, as I read the bible story book about David and Goliath to my children before bed, they kept interrupting the reading by telling me how The Big Pickle did not loose its head. I told them that the story of David and Goliath is not about a boy and his sling and stones and a beheading. It is about God's blessing when you obey Him. Frustrated, I grabbed the Scriptures and read the Word--beginning with when David came to Saul's court and finishing with David and Jonathan becoming best friends. They were quiet and tired. The power of the Word amazed me--all I did was read it. Veggie Tales does not amaze me.
