I am a native of Asheville, happy (and still amazed) that God found me and made me part of his family. I have a loving and wise husband, 4 kids, and a black lab.

Without ever planning to do so, my husband and I have ended up homeschooling our children. This growing interest in education led me to volunteer in our local schools. My conscience was aroused as I met many students who could barely read or perform basic math. Long story short, I am heavily involved in a new urban Christian school called New City Christian School.
