The Outside Looking In: A Writer's Block

I have been plagued lately by this personal sermon that Ive been preachin' to myself . It's something Ive noticed lately more and more since Ive started working at a local
"Christian" book/music store. Here's My ponder; maybe you'll have more insight on this.
Why are more and more "Christian Bands" not really "Christian"?
I ask this because that's just something I've been noticing more. A band will have 4 songs about chicks 3 over some lament about how she broke their heart and then the rest are "life sucks in general" songs.
But in their "thank you's" on their album cover; Jesus, Their Savoir, God or Yahweh (How ever they actually recognize God) Is the first one they'll say thanks to. ? Maybe. Why is it that you can say Thanks on an album cover so casually to our Christ but yet you'll write songs faster about some chick than you will publish a song about the one who saved your soul?
I love good music anyone who has seen my page understands that. I'm actually cool with the whole artistic value concept, just try using that artistic value concept for our Lord since you claim to believe in him and all. That's all I'm askin'.
Example: I read a particular article written by a band member of one of my favorite bands. He said that he had never had anyone ask him about his faith at a show? My automatic response was
" because no one hears about your faith " so and so" all they hear about is your past relationships and your journey toward another one."
If you don't put your faith out there no one will ask about it. If you write songs like everybody else you will have the same generic conversations like everybody else. You are no better than any
"Secular" band if you don't step out and talk about your faith.
And if you don't talk about your faith? SHAME ON YOU. And me. I get aggravated with myself too ya'll I want to step out there more. And I'm trying.
But I shouldn't have to go to some strange country to " be a blessing" or " make friends" or " to love on people" to be an active member of The Kingdom. Why and How can you go to a another country for that and your gone a week or a month but your on stage 267 days of the year and your album reflects more about girls than God. Our country is strange enough, please if your going to "be a witness" try starting the next album, or the next time your on stage? that would help.
Let me be the first to say, I'm not going to boycott any of the artists I'm praying for or that I carry specifically in mind as I write this article. However, I do want this to be a challenge if you're an artist and your reading this please understand I respect and value the songs that God has given you, music is an amazing art form consider yourself blessed that you can take part in such a wonderful craft.
But please understand that I am petitioning more from you. I need more I need something deeper from the music that is out there. I know that there are more things that we could write about so lets try shall we.
I personally respect, and value more when an artist writes about their spiritual struggles than I do when they write about girls. Now here's another thing to that ? part of the spiritual struggle we have as Christians is in our relationships. We are still human flesh, we still have a battle; can that and should that be expressed, by all means Yes it should. But understand there is a fine line. Despite or nature we are still the only Jesus some of the world will ever see, we have a responsibility to carry the message through our world. Not just in or relationships but in every thing else too.
