You can request the friendship of groups, individuals, bands, etc. by going to a profile and clicking "Add to Friends" or "Join Group." If the group/person accepts your request, they will be added to your Friends.
You might get invitations from others. When you log in to your Livekite account, check the top of your Dashboard for notifications. If someone has requested your friendship, it will show up here. You can either accept or deny the friendship request. The person requesting your friendship will not be notified of your decision.
Be aware that some groups are closed to the general public (church youth groups, for example, might only accept friendships from the people who go to that church), so your request might be denied.
My profile picture wont upload. Whats the problem?
Make sure the image is a .jpg, or re-save it in that format and try again. Also, make sure the file is less than 5 MB, or save the image at a lower resolution, and try, try again!
From your Dashboard in the profile section, click on [edit profile photo]. Click [choose file], browse through your pictures and choose one, then click [save].
From your Dashboard, under the About Me section, click on each tab: About, Church, I’d Like to Meet, and My Heroes. Make changes. When you are finished, be sure to click [save about me].
Click through the tabs in Hobbies: Interests, Music, Movies, TV, and Books and add or edit the info. Be sure to click [save about me]!
Livekite employs unique customization tools that can be used by even the most inexperienced Livekiter. Step 1: From your Dashboard, find the [customize My Profile] button.
Step 2: Find the section called [Custom Styles]. Go to the first item listed there, which is [Page Headers] under the ‘Headers’ category. Click in the square to the left of the ‘Page Headers’.
Step 3: A color picker will pop up. Find a color that you like in the middle rainbow-colored bar, and click on it. You’ll notice that the square box on the left shows all of the various tints and shades of the color you’ve chosen, allowing you to choose the precise color for each customizable area of your profile. When you select a color, it will be previewed in the bar on the right.
Choosing a background image: You may designate a URL image to appear on your profile instead of a color. You will need to have membership to a hosting site (Photobucket or Flickr are two services that lots of people use) where you can paste in a URL link to an image that you have uploaded.
Insert the URL into the space provided at the bottom of the ‘custom styles’ section and you are finished!
From your Dashboard go to the profile section and click on [manage photos]. From there you can upload new photos, delete photos, or add captions. Remember the files must be .jpgs and under 5 MB.
If youd like to embed photos in your "About Me" section from your Photobucket account, use the following code:
