FAQS/Help
Answers
  1. How do I add a song to my profile?

First, click on the Music tab at the top of your page.

Search for an artist by name, or browse Livekite artists by genre, details, or location with the "Advanced Search" function. To perform an advanced search, type a keyword into the text box and click on "filter music."

Find a song you want to add. There are plenty of great ones to choose from.

Click "Add" and the song will play on your profile. You can also choose several songs to add to a playlist, so that a different song plays each time that you log on.

  5. How do I upload my music?

The first step is to create a music profile. Got one? Good! Now go to the dashboard view of your music profile and look in the lower right-hand corner of the page. Just under the "Music Player" heading you will see a button that says, "upload new". Click on that button and navigate to the song on your computer that youd like to feature on Livekite. Note- the song file HAS to be a true Mp3.

If you are having trouble getting your song to upload then either it is not a true Mp3 (ie- its an Mpeg file or some other type all together) OR the file size is over 10 megs.

  8. What audio file formats will jive with the Livekite media player?

Mp3 only! If your song isn't in an Mp3 format and you dont know how to convert it, get iTunes. iTunes does all the fine conversions for you, including Mp3, with minimal pain and suffering.

If you are still lost but like the sound of our iTunes suggestion, go here http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=93123 to find out exactly what you need to do.

  9. Ive tried to upload my song but its not working- whats the deal?

First, make sure that the music file you are trying to upload is not over 10 megs in size.

Next, check to make sure that the file you are trying to upload is in fact an Mp3. If youre not sure, then you can right-click on the music file (or ctrl/click for you Mac people), click on properties, and that will tell you for sure. If you need to convert your music file to an Mp3, we suggest using iTunes. Heres a link that will tell you how to do this if you dont know how: http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=93123
