You can request the friendship of groups, individuals, bands, etc. by going to a profile and clicking "Add to Friends" or "Join Group." If the group/person accepts your request, they will be added to your Friends.
You might get invitations from others. When you log in to your Livekite account, check the top of your Dashboard for notifications. If someone has requested your friendship, it will show up here. You can either accept or deny the friendship.
Be aware that some groups are closed to the general public (church youth groups, for example, might only accept friendships from the people who go to that church), so your request might be denied.
You can send messages to individuals or bands. Just go to a profile, and click on the button in the Profile box that reads "Send Message." A text box will pop up. Type up what you want to say, and hit "Send."
If you have received new messages on Livekite, you will see a notification on your Dashboard when you log in to your account. Click on "My Inbox" to view your messages, then either save or delete them.
Make sure the image is a .jpg, or re-save it in that format and try again. Aslo, make sure the file is less than 5MB, or save the image at a lower resolution, and try, try again!
To keep Livekite safe for all users, images are screened constantly to make sure the content is acceptable. If you can imagine your content being rated "R," dont upload it. Your account might mysteriously disappear.
Livekite employs unique customization tools that can be used by even the most inexperienced Livekiter. We promise.
Step 1: On your Dashboard, find the "Customize My Profile" button.
Step 2: Find the section called "Custom Styles." Go to the first item listed there, which is "Page Headers," under the "Headers" category. Click in the square to the left of "Page Headers."
Step 3: A color picker will pop up. Find a color that you like in the middle rainbow-colored bar, and click on it. Youll notice that the square box on the left shows all of the various tints and shades of the color youve chosen, allowing you to choose the precise color that you for each customizable area of your profile. When you select a color, it will be previewed in the bar on the right.
Choosing a background image: You may designate a URL image to appear on your profile instead of a color. You will need to have membership to a hosting site (Photobucket or Flickr are two services that lots of people use) where you can paste in a URL link to an image that you have uploaded.
What if I see something offensive (photo, language, etc.) on someone?s profile or in a message to me?
If they are a friend, we encourage you to simply contact them directly. If they’re in a group that you are part of, we encourage you to contact the group leader, who can decide how to handle the situation. As a last resort, you have the opportunity to Report Abuse which will flag e-mails, profiles, or photos. Flagged items will be sent to Livekite administrators for review. Serious infringements may lead to expulsion from the site.

Ive signed-up but havent received my confirmation email. What happened?
If you made it all the way through the sign-up process you were sent a confirmation email. Most likely your confirmation email was caught by your spam filter. Check your spam folder to see if it’s there. If you can’t find it there, send a message to help@livekite.com and an administrator will resend it to you.
While on your friends profile page, scroll down to the comments section and click on, "add a comment". Next, add the text (if any) that you want to appear in your message. Then, copy this line of html and paste it below your text:

Hopefully you have your image all picked out. Note, it MUST be an image that is already on the web somewhere!
Now replace, "Add the URL of your image here!" with the URL (web address) of the image you want to appear in your comment. Click "Submit Comment" and wait for your friend to approve the image.
Livekite has added support for adding youtube and google video to comments and blog. Heres a simple tutorial showing you how to add it:

You cannot delete your personal profile, but you can suspend it. A suspended account will not show up as a profile on the
Livekite website. If you would like to suspend your account you may send a message to a Livekite Administrator by clicking on .
Once you request suspension, the administrator will do that for you and send you a confirmation email.
First, click on the [Music tab] at the top of your page.
Using the "advanced search," browse Livekite artists by genre, details, or location. Input your search parameters and then click [filter music].
Click through the artists' pages and listen to the songs that they have uploaded. When you find a song you want to add to your individual music player, click [Add] and the song will play on your profile.
You can choose several songs to add to your player. A different song will play each time you log on.
