WELLSPRING LIVING is a non-profit organization and ministry dedicated to helping women & children who have been victims of the sex slave industry reclaim their lives one step at a time-- mind, body & spirit.
FACTS: Atlanta has been recognized as the # 1 center for childhood exploitation in the U.S. Over 200,000 youth are victims of commercial sexual exploitation within the U.S. Only 2% of trafficking victims are rescued 90% of runaways become part of the sex trade industry The average ago of child sexual exploitation is 14, but girls as young as 10 are victimized 40% of rescued girls return to a life of prostitution. Currently, when police apprehend a pimp and his sex slaves, judges are sending the girls to a detention center (jail) as their only option.
WELLSPRING MISSION STATEMENT: Wellspring connects a caring community with women seeking a way out of unhealthy behaviors. Wellspring is a "holistic change organization" that empowers women to embrace true restoration through a unique blend of recovery, personal development, and continuing care that transforms the women, their families, and the community where they live. Wellspring Living offers a sensible solution for a continuum of care for victimized girls through a collaborative model of recovery with affiliated support from PSI of Atlanta, UNITE Coalition of Churches, GA NOT FOR SALE Campaign, Georgia Baptist Children's Homes and The CAMPUS This group can be used as the Online Community for Wellspring Living.
