How to Respond to Hurricane Gustav
There are several ways for churches to prepare for and assist in the midst of natural disasters, such as Hurricane Gustav.
1. Be available to serve as a Red Cross Emergency Shelter For more information or to sign up, contact Kathy Hayworth at 404-575-3182 or khayworth@arcatl.org.
2. Invite the American Red Cross to train yours and neighboring church congregation members (minimum of 12) as Disaster Response Volunteers. For more information or to sign up, contact Kathy Hayworth at 404-575-3182 or khayworth@arcatl.org.
3. Connect with Home Repairs Ministries, Inc. who will most likely be taking volunteer teams into destroyed areas to help rebuild. Contact: Harvey Anderson at 404-964-6681 or
