The idea for this group came about as my wife and I kept meeting interesting, intelligent people in our community who either knew little about Christianity and wanted a safe place to learn without feeling pressured, and people who had thoughtfully engaged with Christianity but who still had questions or objections that they had not found answers to. The idea for the group is to help Christians and those who are not Christians to talk, understand each other, and form relationships with one another while also presenting Christianity in a way that is relevant, thoughtful, and engaging.
The group corresponds with a small group hosted by Malvern Hills Presbyterian Church www.malvernhillspca.org that meets on Saturday nights at 6:00. Members are encouraged to add comments about the groups discussion or to start forums on new questions as they come up. Anyone interested in joining the conversations is welcome to, whether you attend the small group or not.
The group will be discussing topics such as "Is There One True Religion?" "Why Does God Allow Suffering?" "Who Is the Person of Jesus?" "Why Do Non-Christians View Christians the way they do and what can we do about it?" and any other question that may arise.
To help us get the conversation started, we are using Tim Keller's book, "The Reasons for God". Its helpful to read the book, but its not required for you to join the group or add comments.
