Kanazawa

Tue, April 1st, 2008 @ 8:02PM

Sorry if I spelled a lot of things wrong: Yesterday morning we went on a 3 hour train trip to Kanazawa in unfortunatly dreary weather. { It rained, cleared up, rained harder, hailed, then there were large gusts of wind, and rain again. } We walked around Kenrokuen Garden, which is evidently quite well known in Japan. We stayed the night in a fairly nice hotel, and ate some breakfast there. ( Which was a buffet; Ms. Robinson and Ms. Sams ate western food, but I ate rice, fish and vegetables. Yum! ) We then walked around and visited some old houses made into museum-type things, and a silk dying building. On our way back on the train, the sun finally began to shine, and a large rainbow crossed over the mountains we passed. Very scenic, yes? And I didn't just make it up. :)

Cool Sophie! Sounds like fun, except for the fish part. Allergies. Let me know if you see any Aikido happening there. It's pretty cool.
