Lisa has been playing guitar and writing songs since high school, but early on she was what you might call a "closet musician". It wasn't until college that she started to get more interested in playing and doing shows. Her senior year she attended the Contemporary Music Center, a private artist colony in Martha's Vineyard. There, in the dead of winter, surrounded by nothing but five feet of snow and 28 other crazy musicians, did she dive right into the art of songwriting, performance, and recording. And there it all began.These days Lisa lives in Asheville, N.C., a great little eclectic town in the mountains of Western Carolina. You can find her typically at one of the many open mics in town or doing shows here and there with other musician friends.
